Photo sharing for prom

Everyone at prom is taking photos, and by midnight they are scattered across a hundred phones. One album catches them.

Pre-prom photos

The front-yard and park photos before the dance are the ones families care about most, and the parents are the photographers. Drop the album link in the parents’ group chat or print the QR on the invitation to the pre-prom gathering. Parents scan, shoot, and their photos land in the same album as the dance.

For the prom committee

One album for the whole dance: the QR on a sign at the entrance and on the tables, the code in the student announcement. You stay in control of it.

Disposable-camera mode

Give every guest a fixed number of shots: 10, 12, 24, 36, 48 or 72. In the iPhone app, disposable mode uploads each shot instantly with no preview and no retake, which is exactly what makes people take the candid photos. On the web camera the shot limit still applies, but the phone’s own camera may offer a retake.

School rules and ages

Check your school’s photo policy before you put a code on the wall, and tell guests that photos are being collected. Our host guide has wording for the sign. AllShots is not directed to children under 16; younger students should use it only with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

How AllShots works, in one minute

  1. Create the event in the iPhone app. Name it, add the date and choose how many shots each guest gets. No account needed to start.
  2. Share the QR code (or the 6-character join code). Print it on a sign, put it on the tables, drop the link in the group chat.
  3. Guests scan and shoot. The camera opens in their browser: nothing to install, no account. iPhone users can also use the app.
  4. Everything lands in one live album you control: delete anything, and download the whole album as a ZIP.

Set up the prom album

Free for up to 10 guests. Create it in the app and put the QR at the door.

Questions people ask

Can the committee control what ends up in the album?

Yes. The host can delete any photo, reported photos are hidden immediately, and ending the event stops all uploads and new joins.

Can students upload videos?

On the Unlimited plan, yes, up to 90 seconds each.

Do students need an app or an account?

No. They scan the QR code and the camera opens in their browser. There is no account to create.

Can one album cover pre-prom, the dance and the after-party?

Yes. One event, one code, and it stays open until you end it.
