Photo sharing for birthday parties

Whether it is a fifth birthday with twelve kids or a fortieth with sixty adults, the photos are on other people’s phones. One QR code brings them home.

A sparkler being lit at a birthday celebration
The cake moment happens once. Somebody in the room has the best angle — and it is not you.

Kids’ parties

You are cutting cake, refereeing, and finding the missing shoe. You are not taking photos. The parents standing around the edge are. Put the QR code on the door and on the party table; parents scan it while they wait, and every photo they take lands in your album. Afterwards you have the whole party from ten angles, and so do they — share the album link back and nobody has to ask "can you send me the ones of Ella?"

Private album for kids’ parties. Switch the event to private and each parent sees only the photos they took, while you see everything. Other people’s children stay in your album, not in every parent’s feed. That is the setting we recommend for anything under twelve.

Milestone birthdays

A 30th, 40th, 50th — the guest list is friends from every era of a life, most of whom have never met. A shared, live album does something the party itself struggles with: it shows the university friends what the work friends are up to across the room. Use open mode so people can add the old photos they brought on their phones, and turn on the memory book so guests leave a line for the birthday person.

Surprise parties

Two things matter: photos of the arrival, from everyone, and photos the guest of honour cannot see until later. Set the reveal timing to next day — the album stays hidden from guests until the morning after — or make it private and hand over the whole album as the gift.

How AllShots works, in one minute

  1. Create the event on host.allshots.app or in the iPhone app. Name, date, how many shots each guest gets — done in about sixty seconds, no account needed to start.
  2. Share the QR code (or the 6-character join code). Print it on a sign, put it on the tables, drop the link in the group chat.
  3. Guests scan and shoot. The camera opens in their browser — nothing to install, no account. iPhone users can also use the app.
  4. Everything lands in one live gallery you control: hide or delete anything, and download the whole album as a ZIP.

Set up the party album

Free for up to 10 guests. Create it, print the QR, stick it on the door.

Questions people ask

Is it suitable for children’s parties?

Yes. Use the private album setting so each parent sees only their own photos while you see all of them, and read our host guide on telling guests photos are being collected.

Can guests add photos they took before scanning?

In open mode, yes — the web camera and the app both allow uploads from the camera roll.

Can the birthday person be kept from seeing the album?

Set the reveal timing to next day, or make the album private and share it afterwards as the gift.

Do I have to pay for a small party?

No. Starter is free for up to 10 guests and 50 photos, kept for 7 days.
